Dr David Zimmermann, BDSc (QLD)
Principal Dentist
Dr Zimmermann graduated from the University of Queensland in 1978. After working on Thursday Island for two years, he moved to Cairns to work on the Cairns Base Hospital ‘Flying Dental Run,’ servicing towns on Cape York.
Dr Zimmermann worked for several years in Mossman Hospital Dental Clinic.
He moved to the Sunshine Coast to work at the Nambour Hospital Clinic in 1984. Dr Zimmermann spent the following six years in private practice in Tewantin before starting Mooloolah Dental in October 1995. He enjoys the challenge of solving the full range of oral problems so that the teeth function correctly, feel comfortable and look great.
‘I work with a wonderful team of people who make me feel work is a good place to be. Outside of work, I enjoy surfing with my kids, doing Pilates classes with my wife, Kate, and growing vegetables.’
Dr Mark Hall, BChD (Leeds, UK)
Dental Surgeon
Dr Hall has been a valued member of Mooloolah Dental since 2005. Originally from Formby, UK, Dr Hall earned his dental degree in Leeds in 1995.
What Dr Hall appreciates most about dentistry is the technical variety of the services we provide. He also enjoys developing rapport with our patients and helping them achieve long-term dental health.
When he is away from the surgery, you will often find Dr Hall staying active by playing tennis, badminton, bushwalking, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. When he gets a chance to relax, you may find Dr Hall gardening or exploring new places to travel.
Shannon Truscott
Dental Assistant and Receptionist
Originally from Mooloolah Valley, Shannon earned her Certificate III in Dental Assisting, Certificate III in Hospitality and a Certificate III in Retail, making her an expert at looking after our patients.
Shannon joined the Mooloolah Dental team in 2008 and enjoys the small town community of Mooloolah and working with such nice people.
You will often find Shannon spending time with her friends and family, and staying busy with her young son.
Jenna Henderson
Dental Nurse and Receptionist
Jenna is a Mooloolah original, growing up right here. She is also a familiar face in the practice, joining the Mooloolah Dental team in 2006.
Her favourite part about the clinic is working with such lovely people and getting to know our patients. She also appreciates the challenges of learning something new every day.
When Jenna is away from work, you will find her taking her girls to the park or beach, riding bikes and going for runs. She also enjoys camping trips with the family.
Dawn Westaway
Front Office Manager
Dawn is originally from Caloundra and earned her certificate in dental assisting before joining the Mooloolah Dental team in 1997.
Dawn enjoys the variety of people she works with and learning about our wonderful patients.
When she’s away from work, you will find Dawn in the garden, travelling or spending time with her grandson.
